Helios Ginkgo – Porcelain Wall Sculpture

Helios Ginkgo is a limited-edition porcelain wall sculpture exploring the interplay of natural form, light, and symbolic geometry.

Conceived by Andrzej Skrzypkowski and brought into ceramic form by Monika Skrzypkowska, the work is produced through their joint studio practice. The composition draws inspiration from the distinctive shape of the ginkgo leaf and the radiating energy of the sun.

Hand-sculpted porcelain leaves are arranged across a circular ceramic disc, forming a quiet, rhythmic constellation around a central opening. Select leaves are finished with 24 ct gold, reflecting light across the surface and introducing a warm contrast to the soft white porcelain.

Mounted using custom brass suspension fittings, the ceramic disc floats slightly away from the wall. This subtle offset allows light to move across the sculptural elements, casting shifting shadows that emphasize the layered composition.
